Michael is a commercial real estate attorney and company counsel with over two decades of experience navigating complex real estate transactions, investments, and asset management. As Associate Counsel at Lamar, he leverages a deep background in acquisitions, dispositions, financing, and leasing to oversee complex legal and operational strategies across the company’s portfolio. Michael’s career includes serving as the foundational General Counsel for the real estate investment platform SomeraRoad Inc., where he built the legal framework from inception and helped scale the firm to more than $2 billion in aggregate transactional volume. His sophisticated legal foundation also includes tenure within the premier real estate groups of elite international law firms—including Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft LLP and Paul Hastings LLP—as well as serving as in-house counsel for two publicly traded companies: RAIT Financial Trust (RAS) and JPMorgan Chase (JPM). Michael earned his J.D. from Boston College Law School and holds a B.A from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, where he graduated from the LS&A Honors Program with a double major in political science and history.
